Dear
Fine Edge Visitors,
Each summer for the past seven years,
my husband, Dave Parker, and I, Linda Lewis
have cruised the Inside Passage in the
Pacific Northwest. We make this trip on
our twin-diesel trawler, the M/V Royal
Sounder.
During the summer of 2007 we spent
four months on the water during our sojourn
to Southeast Alaska. A good camera and
improved wireless connections along the
way made it possible to email lots of pictures
and stories of our adventures. The long
list of friends and family who received
the emails told us they loved receiving
them and really enjoyed their computer-assisted
cruising. Many of them forwarded the emails
to other friends. There was a good deal
of vicarious boating going on!
Fine
Edge has converted this series of emails
to a photo blog format for you. There
are lots and lots of pictures, some peeks
into the life of a long-distance cruiser,
fishing tales, wonderful eagle & bear & whale
sightings, details on some new explorations,
a look at some of the people you meet along
the way, nitty-gritty navigation information,
chatter about some of our silly shenanigans,
glorious views of mountains & glaciers,
and depictions of some interesting adventures.
Use the blog’s Index to tune into
the places or topics that interest you
the most. We hope you enjoy the photo blog.
If you would like any information
or have questions, please feel welcome
to contact us.
